I grew up in a family that always had dogs and as a growing person I probably took forgranted the joy and companionship they provided. In 1988, when I was 21, I had a little health scare with cancer and it was then when I discovered the true benefits of owning a dog in 'Brimstone' my black labrador. He provided me with the biggest source of companionship and joy and for all the love I gave him, he gave it me back tenfold. Its now been proven that owning a dog raises your spirits and instills a sense of wellbeing helping us deal with the stresses and strains life sometimes throws at us. Apart from the enormous sense of devotion and loyalty a dog gives you he will also lower your blood pressure, lower your risk of heart-attacks and provide you with a constant source of humour. As far as he is concerned his primary function in life is to make you, his owner, happy. How cool and noble is that!

In the early part of 2013 I took the opportunity to leave a dull and unfilling office job to start "BOOTS" and fullfill a life long passion to work full time with dogs.
